Los Angeles Superior Court · 2001–2002
Case No. BC252914
Mia’s role. As a Deputy Attorney General, Mia represented the Medical Board of California in its civil enforcement action against Rosmar and its operators over the unauthorized practice of medicine in a diagnostic radiology business.
Court outcome. Following temporary and preliminary orders in 2001, the court entered a stipulated permanent injunction on April 23, 2002. It barred the defendants from offering diagnostic medical services through the unlawful business arrangement and from exercising the specified control over physicians, medical protocols, referrals, and patient records.
The Medical Board’s later decision in the related Pehlevanian matter records this civil action and injunction in Finding 35. The injunction prohibited the unlawful operation described in that record.

Reinstatement / 2001–2003
Michael M. Fanous, D.P.M.
Board of Podiatric Medicine
Sacramento Superior Court · 03CS00075
Mia’s role. Mia represented the Board at the November 14, 2001 reinstatement hearing in Los Angeles under her then-professional name Mia Perez-Castille. She also appeared for the Board in the 2003 Sacramento judicial-review proceeding as Mia Perez-Argote.
Board decision and court outcome. The Board’s reconsidered 2002 decision provided for reinstatement subject to 25 years of probation. In a judgment entered on March 27, 2003, the Sacramento Superior Court ordered that decision vacated because reconsideration had been unlawfully granted and ordered restoration of the earlier unconditional reinstatement.
This historical matter illustrates reinstatement litigation and judicial review. The 25-year probation provision was vacated; it is not presented as a lasting disciplinary outcome or a statement of current license status.
